So it is September
So it is September – as autumn approaches do you need less mellow fruitfulness and more of a new approach!
So it is September and for most the holidays are over. The children go back to school. And as the school year begins, in the world of work, activity goes up a gear. Those elusive job adverts begin to appear again after their summer game of hide and seek. Did you know that the long school holiday evolved to allow children time out to help on the farm with the harvest? From the paucity of job adverts you would think recruiters have been out with their pitchforks too.
So as things start up again it is a great time to take stock and think about your own career.
If you are in work, is your present job still the right one for you? Is time to think about that promotion and are you ready for it? Or perhaps you need a sideways move in the same company to gain more experience. Should you be thinking more radically and moving on to a new company, a new sector, a new town or even a new country? Now may just be the right time to take that risk you have been avoiding.
If you are currently looking for work – is it time to refresh your job search? If so I hope the articles below will help.
